Using film as an educational medium in higher education

چکیده

This paper is the result of empirical, qualitative research conducted with aim studying and gaining an understanding benefits using film as educational medium in higher education terms achieving outcomes, providing students emotional cognitive stimulation engagement, encouraging reflection self-reflection through a relationship specific carrier content, which occur virtual learning environments. The convenience sample consisted twelve who attended course Online Adult Education 2017-18, were intensively engaged activities that part course's thematic unit Theories Learning Education. instructional material used this was Akira Kurosawa's Rashomon (1950). Through two phases: discussion phase, also phase data collection, narrative, discourse content analysis, well grouping obtained their we arrived at results can be understood practical implications, unequivocally indicate use encourages: students, whether positive or negative; students' perseverance carrying out assignments eventual achievement objectives; introspection, further defines quality insights, aimed attaining concrete objectives predefined by units.
